Cryptic Series 2011

For 2011 our range of monthly beers is called “The Cryptic Series” and for each month either the pump clip pictures or names are linked to a theme. Work out the link/theme and you could win one of two great prizes.

There are 2 seperate competitions for this year's Cryptic series. Whilst we can’t tell you the prizes for them, as it would help give away the series, please be aware of how you can enter.

1st Competition

This runs up until 15th November. The race is on for the 1st person to submit a correct answer on the competition form (obtained from the brewery shop). You are allowed 1 try and this can be submitted anytime from now on until Nov 15th. The winner will be announced on 23rd December. Obviously the later you leave it, the more pump clips you will have seen, however someone else may beat you to the 1st prize. When entering your guess, you must have the form signed and dated by a member of staff.

2nd Competition

Once all the beers/pump clips have been announced by late November, you can then have another guess and enter the 2nd competition. Obviously with all the beer/pumps clips available, the series should be easier to figure out! and we would expect more correct answers. The form for this competition allows you to put forward your suggested theme + an explanation as to the clues relating to the 4 final beers of 2011 (September to December). All the forms with the correct series answer will then be assessed and the person whose 4 additional answers match the judges' answers will be the winner. The judges' decision willl be final. We will announce the winner also on 23rd December.

Cryptic Series 2011

	A copper coloured, easy drinking beer, with considerable depth and complexity. A well balanced malt & fruit flavour continues to a long, refreshing & crisp finish		An amber coloured best bitter, offering an initial smoothness followed by a dry aftertaste along with a fruity hop aroma.		A reddish, full bodied premium ale, with a rich malty flavour & a lasting, hoppy & bittersweet finish.
